Join the San Carlos Drive Less Challenge!
San Carlos Green is inviting the whole community
to participate in this year's Drive Less Challenge, which will run
from April
6th to April 15th. The goal of the Challenge is
to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging everyone to drive less. We invite
you to participate in this community event together with friends,
neighbors, or co-workers.
The Drive Less Challenge was initiated in 2009 by
the Menlo Park Green Ribbon Citizens' Committee (MPGRCC) and it's grown to
include more than 10 Peninsula cities this year. For more information you
can visit www.drivelesschallenge.com.

| Why drive less?
Cars and light duty trucks are the biggest source of greenhouse gas
emissions and air pollution in the Bay Area. Greenhouse gas emissions
are a direct contributor of severe climate change and air pollution is a
serious public health concern.
|
How can I make the most out of the Challenge?
We recommend that you follow these
simple steps below:
|
A green trip is a trip taken using a greener
form of transportation than a car (e.g. public transportation, biking, walking,
etc.) or by carpooling (using a car to transport members of more than 1
family).
