| Join San Carlos Green and the Sierra Club to take Climate Action
Global warming poses a significant threat to San
Carlos and the Bay area. While action to systematically reduce greenhouse gas
emissions is required across all levels of the public and private sector, the
actions and policies of city governments, through their ability to influence
and regulate land use, transportation, and local building practices, can have
an especially powerful impact. Right now our City is considering a Green Building Ordinance in the 2011 General Plan update.

That's why San Carlos Green has partnered with
the Sierra Club to launch a local Climate Action campaign and is pushing the City of San Carlos to include a Green Building Ordinance in the 2011 General Plan. Our goals are to
build community awareness and to let our elected officials know that we support
taking action now to make climate action a higher priority in San Carlos.
