Cal native plant puts on a spring show

Pink flowering currant puts on a gorgeous show, is drought-tolerant, and the bees love it!

There are many varieties of flowering currants. This one is Ribes sanguineum glutinosum ‘Claremont’. I bought it at Yerba Buena Nursery a few years ago, and they list it as available right now.

This one is about 7 feet high in my San Carlos garden, but it can be cut back to 1 foot in the summer, if you want to keep it smaller.
